Samsung has revealed today that it's going to launch a new AI-powered healthcare platform later this year. The new platform will bring together data from its various devices, including wearables, and make it easier for users to share it with their doctor to receive better insight and care from their healthcare professionals.

This was revealed during a post-Unpacked session today, which we attended, by the SVP of Samsung MX's Digital Health Team Dr. Hon Pak.

The new platform will also offer AI-powered wellness recommendations

Samsung's aim with this new platform is to better utilize existing data silos and reduce fragmentation. It envisions a platform that pools in data from various devices and provides comprehensive insights based on it.

The platform won't just be limited to Samsung's own smartwatches, smart rings, and other smart home devices, it will also work with clinical information systems. Users will be able to easily share health data like blood pressure trends or heart rate variability with their doctor for context-aware and evidence-based care.

The platform will utilize AI to provide personalized insights, real-time tips, reminders, and motivations to help keep users on top of their health. Samsung's recent acquisition of Xealth, a US-based health integration platform, has no doubt been made to further this goal.

It will be interesting to see whether this arrives as an extension of the existing Samsung Health platform or as a separate offering altogether. Further details about this new AI-powered healthcare platform will arrive in due course.
