Samsung released the first beta version of Android 16-based One UI 8.0 for the Galaxy S25 series on 28 May 2025. The brand then offered a new beta version almost every fifteen days. However, it has been almost a month since the Beta 3 rollout and we haven’t seen any new activity. Well, that’s going to change next week.

On Samsung’s Community forum for Korea, Samsung says that it will release the fourth beta version of Android 16-based One UI 8.0 next week (between 27-31 July) (via Tarun Vats). The company has also apologised people for delaying the rollout of Beta 4. At the moment, there’s no official information about which changes it will bring.

Last week, a new beta build of Android 16 (One UI 8) for the Galaxy S25 series was spotted on Samsung’s server. Unfortunately, it lacks a few features that previous beta and test builds offered, including Adaptive Lock Screen Clock. Hopefully, this is not the build that Samsung will offer as Beta 4.

At the moment, there’s no information about when the South Korean tech giant will release the stable version. Rumours suggest that Beta 4 will be the last beta build, which means that we will see the stable version soon. Samsung may then immediately start rolling out One UI 8 to all the other eligible devices.
