Samsung operates a loyalty program in India called Smart Club. If you purchase products from the Samsung Shop app or the brand’s official website, or authorised stores, it offers you will receive reward points, which you can redeem on future purchases. Well, the South Korean tech giant is changing its name.

Samsung has sent an email to its Smart Club customers stating that the brand is renaming its loyalty program to Samsung Rewards, as you can see in the image below. Samsung calls its loyalty program in the US and many other regions Samsung Rewards as well. The change brings parity to its loyalty programs globally.

Smart Club had three tiers: Plus, Pro, and Elite. Below is how much you will have to spend on the Samsung Shop app, the brand’s website, or its authorised stores around the country to get enrolled in each of the tiers and the benefits they offer:

    • Plus: Spend INR 15,000 to INR 75,000 to get enrolled. Offers reward points worth 1.25% of the purchase value.
    • Pro: Spend INR 75,000 to INR 2,00,000 to get enrolled. Offers reward points worth 1.5% of the purchase value.
    • Elite: Spend more than INR 2,00,000 to get enrolled. Offers reward points worth 2% of the purchase value.

At the moment, there’s no information on whether Samsung is following the same scheme with Samsung Rewards or not. At the time of writing this article, Samsung hadn’t renamed the Smart Club section on its official website to Samsung Rewards.
