Samsung is rolling out an update to the Samsung Calendar app for Galaxy smartphones, which, currently, seems to be live only for devices running on One UI 8.5. Carrying version 12.7.05.36, it brings five upgrades. You can check out the official change log below.

    • Provides AI-generated image backgrounds associated with calendar titles for the Countdown widget background.
    • Provides options to hide past schedules.
    • Support for marking reminders as complete.
    • Enhances search function for easy searching with natural language.
    • Support for attaching multiple images and improved display.

Among the five upgrades, the first one, the capability to generate images using AI for calendar titles for the Countdown widget background, seemed the most interesting. So, it was the first thing we wanted to try. However, we couldn’t find it. When we tried to select a background image, we didn't find the option to apply an AI-generated image, as you can see in the screenshot below.

To get the latest update, open the Galaxy Store, tap the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen, select Updates, and tap the Update all button or the update icon beside the Samsung Calendar listing.
