A few days ago, Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S11 series with improved hardware and software. A part of the improved software includes the company's enhanced note-taking app. Now, the features introduced to Samsung Notes are coming to older Galaxy phones and tablets.
Samsung has released a new update (version 4.4.30.63) to Samsung Notes, introducing support for horizontal paper. Previously, the app only supported vertical paper layouts, which are ideal for note-taking. In contrast, the horizontal paper layout is better suited for drawing.
Paper layout differs from page templates (such as ruled paper layouts like four-lining and square-lining) and refers to the orientation of the paper.

The update app now also supports Sticky Notes, a feature that was introduced a couple of weeks ago with the Galaxy Tab S11 series. It allows you to stick virtual sticky notes on top of your notes. They can serve as quick reminders, or you can use them for references or ideas.
The new version of Samsung Notes comes with a usual assortment of bug fixes that could make note-taking easier if you were facing any critical issues. This update was released to some people a couple of weeks ago, revealing the new features that were planned for the Galaxy Tab S11 series, but it is now rolling out more widely in South Korea.
