Samsung is getting ready to widely release the July 2025 security patch. The company has revealed the official security bulletin, which, as usual, contains information about numerous vulnerabilities that have been addressed.

For July 2025, Samsung's new security patch includes one fix provided by Samsung Semiconductor for a high-rated vulnerability (CVE-2025-47202). In addition, the company mentions nine other Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures that will be addressed by the June 2025 release.

Samsung's changelog doesn't reveal any details about the vulnerability patched by Samsung Semiconductor, possibly for security reasons. Nevertheless, the bulletin does detail the following other SVEs:

    • Out-of-bounds write in KnoxVault truster.
    • Improper verification of intent by broadcast received in SystemUI for Galaxy Watch.
    • Incorrect default permission in Framework for Galaxy Watch.
    • Improper access control in SamsungAccount for Galaxy Watch.
    • Improper authorization in accessing saved Wi-Fi password for Galaxy Tablet.
    • Improper privilege management in Bluetooth.
    • Improper access control in LeAudioService.
    • Insecure storage of sensitive information in Emergency SOS.

As usual, some Samsung Vulnerability Exposure (SVE) items included in the latest July 2025 security patch have not been disclosed in order to maintain privacy and security.

As for Google's side of things, the June 2025 Android Security Bulletin lists a fair number of CVE items, most of which are high-rated. Only one is critical.

Samsung should soon start rolling out the July 2025 security patch to all eligible Galaxy devices, although, for the time being, the company is likely very busy preparing for this summer's Unpacked event, which kicks off in less than 24 hours as of this writing.
