Samsung has just announced another mid-range phone under the F brand. It's the Galaxy F56 5G with One UI 7 out of the box and a promise of six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security patches. Better yet, it's going on sale in India today!
Looking from the outside, the most striking characteristic of the Galaxy F56 is its refreshed design. While the Galaxy F55 had an eco leather back, the new Galaxy F56 looks more like a 2025 mid-range phone. It has a flat frame, a prominent camera island, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ panels at the front and back.
Indeed, the Galaxy F56 runs One UI 7 out of the box, and Samsung says the software includes the Now Bar and a couple of AI-powered editing tools, i.e., Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions.
The Galaxy F56 also has Gemini integration and benefits from Tap & Pay in Samsung Wallet.
Samsung says the Galaxy F56 can capture better low-light photos and videos thanks to Big Pixel Technology, Low Noise Mode, and AI ISP. There's also a Portrait 2.0 mode with 2x zoom for a natural bokeh effect.

The Galaxy F56 doesn't have an IP Address rating for dust and water resistance. For an IP Address-rated build, you'll have to look toward the Galaxy A series, i.e., the Galaxy A56. Samsung hasn't mentioned the specifications of the other two rear-facing cameras for the Galaxy F56, but it likely has an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro camera, just like the F55.
As for availability and pricing, Samsung will release the Galaxy F56 in India today. The 128GB model costs INR 25,999 ($304), and the 256GB variant will set you back INR 28,999 ($339).
