Samsung has expanded its partnership with the New York Mets with a new LED tech upgrade for an iconic fixture at Citi Field, the team's iconic home.
The company has upgraded the outfield Coca-Cola sign with its exceptional LED-powered technology to further elevate one of the most recognizable features of Citi Field.
The new Coca-Cola sign that Samsung has installed boasts 22,117 pixels that reach a brightness of up to 3,000 nits. It joins the over 1,300 LCD displays installed throughout the stadium as well as digital ribbon boards around the seating bowl and the stadium's main attraction, the dual-sided LED centerfield scoreboard that covers 24,300 square feet.
Since the partnership was inked between these two organizations, Samsung's technology has powered incredible transformations for the Mets' home.
It has helped elevate everything from live game action to 4K instant replays and player stats that are displayed on the unparalleled primary scoreboard. Real-time updates on the ribbon boards and Direct View LED displays in the concourses only add to the visual experience in the ballpark.
Beyond the LED tech, Samsung also repainted the structure and outline of the sign. It worked with Coca-Cola to ensure that the beverage company's iconic red shade was used. The sign is now IP66-rated for protection against dust and heavy rain, while remaining clearly visible no matter what the weather or lighting conditions.
