Samsung has been one of the most prestigious brands in not just Asia but the world for many years, but it's been particularly dominant in that part of the world.
A latest survey has found that Samsung is once again the most valuable brand across the top markets in Asia for the second year in a row.
This is based on the Global Brand Survey 2025 conducted by Nikkei. The survey assesses 200 brands based on answers from more than 70,000 consumers in 11 countries and regions. Brand value is based on two indicators that include brand power, which signifies name recognition, and brand contribution analysis, which evaluates the brand's influence on consumers' purchase decision-making.
The survey was conducted in eight markets across Asia – China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and India. Samsung took the first place in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and India. The company has grown its brand value in all markets as it was first in Vietnam only just last year.
The survey evaluated brands across major industries, not just tech, so it includes other leading names such as Adidas, Nike, German carmaker BMW, Toyota, Sony, Honda, as well as tech giants like Apple and Microsoft. Apple finds itself in 4th place while Samsung beat out this highly prestigious group of brands to dominate in the first position.
