After Galaxy Z Fold 7’s stellar debut, all eyes are on Samsung’s first tri-folding phone. Several reports suggested that the groundbreaking device will launch before the end of this year. Now, a new report claims that it will launch at an upcoming international summit.

Galaxy Z TriFold could launch at the APEC summit

According to a report from Yonhap News Agency, Samsung will unveil its first tri-folding phone during the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, which is scheduled to take place in the southeastern city of Gyeongju from October 31 to November 1.

The device could be called the Galaxy Z TriFold and will be an improvement over Samsung’s existing book-style foldable phones, like the Galaxy Z Fold 7. It is expected to have two hinges that will fold the device into three parts.

Previous reports claim that the Galaxy Z TriFold has a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, up to 16GB RAM, and 256GB-1TB storage. It will run Android 16-based One UI 8.0 out of the box.

On its back, the phone will likely feature a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. It could also have two 10MP selfie cameras.

When it is fully open, it will have a screen as big as a full-sized tablet. When it is fully closed, it will have a phone-like screen. When it is partially open, it will offer a Galaxy Z Fold 7-like, decently large screen. There is no information about the device’s battery capacity.
