Samsung fans have been waiting for the company's new mixed reality headset, dubbed Project Moohan and likely launched as the Galaxy XR, for the better part of a year. The company did say recently that it intends to launch the headset before the end of 2025.

That may hold true, as the Galaxy XR has taken one of the final steps to clear all hurdles prior to its impending launch.

Galaxy XR likely being launched later next month

Bearing model number SM-I610, the Galaxy XR headset has now been listed as a certified product I the official Bluetooth qualification database. The listing confirms that Samsung's XR headset has completed its Bluetooth Qualification Process successfully. It describes Galaxy XR as a “head mounted device,” leaving no confusion as to what the Galaxy XR really is.

We typically see Bluetooth certifications for new products being listed a few weeks before their public launch, so this is as good an indication as any that the launch isn't that far off.

Samsung hasn't detailed the pricing and availability information as yet, despite showcasing the device publicly on multiple occassions this year.

Reports suggest that the Galaxy XR may first see a limited launch in South Korea next month before it's gradually rolled out in select market. The device is expected to cost north of $2,000.
