Samsung launches a number of premium handsets every year. This includes the company's Galaxy S and its Galaxy Z foldable lineups. New variants are expected every year so there's no reason to believe that the devices won't get successors in 2026.

More details confirming the same are always welcome, and the same have been revealed in a new report, which brings us the model numbers for Samsung's 2026 premium handsets.

No big surprises here

AndroidAuthority has found the model numbers pertaining to Samsung's premium devices for next year in unreleased software. The lineup shown has no surprises.

The report mentions SM-S942, SM-S947, and SM-S948 as the model numbers for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra respectively. The list doesn't include a designator for the Galaxy S26 Edge which has reportedly been cancelled due to lackluster sales of its predecessor.

Model numbers SM-F971, SM-F776, and SM-F976 have been revealed for the Galaxy Z Flip 8 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 respectively. It shows that despite the uncertain value proposition of the “FE” branded foldable, Samsung has decided to stick with it for next year.

What the list doesn't mention is a successor for Samsung's first tri-fold phone which is expected to be launched before the end of this year. Given that the device is likely going to be available in limited quantities in select markets, it suggests that Samsung will take its time in pushing out this ostensibly very expensive device wider.

Just because no designator has been identified yet doesn't mean a successor for the tri-fold may not be on the cards for 2026, it could emerge later, as could another slim phone that's recently been identified as being different from the cancelled Galaxy S26 Edge.
