Last month, Samsung released the beta version of the One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra. However, those aren’t the only smartwatches eligible to get the new software. It will be released to the Galaxy Watch 5 series and newer models. And today, we have some information about One UI 8 Watch beta update for the Galaxy Watch 5.

Tipster Tarun Vats has spotted the first beta build of One UI 8 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro on Samsung’s update server. As you can see in the images below, the updates carry firmware versions R905NK0U1CYCD and R925NK0U1CYCD, respectively. Going by the model numbers in the firmware versions, these updates are for the South Korean variant of the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

This information suggests that Samsung is working on the beta version of Wear OS 6 for the two wearables, and the software could be released soon. Unfortunately, we don’t have a concrete date for the release of the update yet. Until then, you can check the complete One UI 8 Watch beta change log here to know what changes it offers or watch it in action in our videos here.

It is worth pointing out that Samsung has recently confirmed that it will offer One UI 8 Watch to the Galaxy Watch 4 series as well. However, they won't get the beta version of the update. On a related note, Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Watch 8 series, which is the first to run the stable version of One UI 8 Watch.
