Samsung is expanding the reach of the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A53. After releasing the update for the phone in Europe, the company has released the update in select Asian and North American countries. The update could reach more countries in the next few days.
The Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update is now available for the Galaxy A53 in India and the USA. In India, the new update comes bearing firmware version A536EXXUHGYI9 and includes the September 2025 security patch. In the USA, the update is currently available with firmware version A536VSQUIGYJ2 on Verizon's network, and it includes the October 2025 security patch.
If you are a Galaxy A53 user and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you should check for the new update on your phone by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. After the over-the-air (OTA) update is downloaded completely, tap the Install now button to start the installation procedure.
The update brings a new Quick Share UI design with separate Send and Receive tabs, improved graphics in the Weather app, and an improved menu bar design for the Samsung Internet app. One UI 8 also brings better bulk management features to Calendar, Clock, and Reminder apps.
