On September 15, Samsung kicked off the long-awaited rollout of the One UI 8 (Android 16) update (or the short-awaited, if you consider the fact that One UI 7 arrived barely five months ago instead of the usual year-long gap).

The official rollout arrived after months of beta testing on the Galaxy S25 series and a shorter beta phase on a handful of other devices, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy A55, among others. Most other eligible Galaxy devices, however, will skip beta testing entirely and jump straight from One UI 7 to One UI 8.

So, is your Galaxy phone (or tablet) on the list of devices that have already received the update, or will you have to wait a little longer? Find out below.

    • Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra
    • Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra
    • Galaxy S24 FE
    • Galaxy Z Fold 6
    • Galaxy Z Flip 6
    • Galaxy A56

It’s worth noting that when Samsung begins rolling out an update for a device, it doesn’t instantly go live in every country. The release usually happens in stages, and it can take a few days before the update becomes available worldwide. For example, One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 series first launched in Korea and only started reaching other markets two days later.

We’ll keep updating the list as One UI 8 expands to more Galaxy phones and tablets, so make sure to bookmark this page and check back regularly. And if you want a closer look at everything the update brings, head over to and subscribe to our YouTube channel, where you’ll find plenty of One UI 8 content to dive into.

To kick things off, we’ve also put together a video that compares One UI 8 directly with One UI 7, highlighting all the major changes and improvements. It’s a great way to get a quick overview of what’s new before you even download the update.
