Samsung has released the One UI 8.0 update for the Galaxy F34. It comes one week after the new software was released for the Galaxy A34 and two days after it was released for the Galaxy M34. This is the third major Android OS update for the phone since its launch.

Galaxy F34 gets Android 16 and One UI 8.0 update

The Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update is now available for the Galaxy F34 in India. It comes with firmware version E346BXXU8EYI8 and has a download size of over 2GB, so try to download the update using a Wi-Fi network. This update includes the September 2025 security patch instead of this month's (October) security patch.

To download the new update on your Galaxy F34, head over to Settings > Software update > Download and install and then tap Install now once the update is finished downloading. Your phone should then restart after a few minutes. You can then start using One UI 8.0 and its new features.

But what is new with One UI 8.0 on the Galaxy F34?

One UI 8.0 brings redesigned Quick Share with a full-screen UI and two separate tabs for sending and receiving files, respectively. You can keep a check on the stock prices you are interested in via the Now Bar and use Sticky Notes on top of your existing notes in the Samsung Notes app. The new software makes it faster and easier to locate downloaded files.

The Samsung Internet web browser has been redesigned for a better menu that is more customizable. You can access your most-used features faster. The Calculator app now supports the Scientific Calculator mode in portrait screen orientation.

The new software makes it easier to use two apps side by side. In the split-screen view, when you push the app divider towards the top or bottom edge of the screen, one app takes 90% of the screen, while the other app is visible in the remaining 10% of the screen area.

Calendar, Clock, and Reminders apps have received new features for better management of alarms, calendar entries, and reminders. You can add reminders even using the Calendar app. Adding events and reminders is now even easier, as the phone now shows suggestions and offers the option to add a reminder using your voice.

The Samsung Health app now supports new health features (Antioxidant Index, Bedtime Guidance, Food Logging Reminders, Running Coach, and Vascular Load), while the Modes and Routines app now has more actions and conditions. Samsung has improved the visuals in the Weather app.

The Camera app now has an on-screen gesture to show/hide quick camera controls. The Settings app now has integrated Galaxy Buds controls. Samsung has improved Profile Cards and now displays recorded calls in the Contacts app.

It has also made Secure Folder even more secure, as it is now based on Google's Private Space feature. The phone is now generally more secure through Knox Matrix. There is now an option to show or hide the contents of notifications when the device is locked.
