However, a new report claims to unveil the expected processor for each Galaxy S26 model. This report, particularly about the Galaxy S26 Ultra, might delight Snapdragon enthusiasts.
A report from ChosunBiz claims that Samsung will announce the Galaxy S26 in late January 2026 and start selling phones in the lineup in February 2026. It also claims that the company has decided to use the Exynos 2600 in the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26+. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will reportedly use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (for Galaxy version) chip from Qualcomm.
If this information is correct, it will make Snapdragon fans quite happy. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is a 3nm chip fabricated by TSMC and features improved CPU and GPU performance. It also brings better cellular network connectivity. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is also expected to use UFS 4.1 storage and faster RAM for an overall improved performance.
