After releasing the January 2026 security patch to the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S24 lineups, Samsung is now rolling it out to the Galaxy S23 series. It fixes 55 security issues present in the previous version of the OS, making the three phones in it safer than before.
The latest update for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra is currently live in Samsung’s home country, South Korea. It is 386.36MB in size and carries firmware version S91xNKSS6EZA1. We expect Samsung to release it in other countries soon.
To check for software updates on your Galaxy S23, as well as to get them, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once Samsung releases the update for the international variants of these phones, we will make region-wise firmware files available in our database. You can download it from there and install it using Samsung’s Odin tool.
The Galaxy S23 series is also eligible to get Samsung’s latest version of One UI for smartphones and tablets, One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). It brings a new user interface that looks cleaner, more organised, and more modern. It also offers more customisation options and is easier to use. The new software brings tons of new features too. You can check them out below.
