In mid-May, we exclusively reported that Samsung is planning to start the One UI 8 beta program sometime this month, and the company has pretty much confirmed that our sources were accurate by creating a dedicated One UI 8 beta program subforum for the Galaxy S25 series on its community website.
The subforum has been created on the Samsung US community website, suggesting that, as always, US customers will be among the first to get access to the beta version of the next major One UI update. Korea is likely to be the only other market to get the beta program in the first phase, though Samsung is welcome to surprise us.
In addition to the US and Korea, the beta program will likely be available in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, China, and the UK. Samsung has never launched a One UI beta in any other market, and we don't expect that to change this year.

It remains to be seen which devices will be supported in the beta program. Initially, it may only be available for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Yes, the new Galaxy S25 Edge might not get the beta, at least if we consider the fact that Samsung has also excluded Fan Edition variants of Galaxy S flagships in previous beta programs.
If Google is right and the official One UI 8 update is coming to Galaxy devices by the end of the third quarter of this year, then Samsung may keep the beta exclusive to just a handful of devices, such as the Galaxy S24 series and other flagship devices launched in 2024.
It's not like there's a lot to test in One UI 8 anyway. Right now, One UI 8 is pretty barren as far as new features are concerned and it could be the smallest One UI/Android upgrade for Galaxy smartphones and tablets ever.
