The USA is generally among the first markets to get the beta version of a new version of Samsung One UI. It is one of seven countries where Samsung has launched a One UI beta program every year. 2024 was no different.

In December last year, Samsung launched the One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy S24 lineup in those seven countries. For other devices that received the beta, Samsung reduced the eligible number of countries to four, but the US was once again on the list.

Well, at least that's the case for flagship devices. US customers who purchased a mid-range Galaxy smartphone are unlikely to get access to the One UI 7 beta, as the only mid-range phone that is eligible for the beta program, the Galaxy A55, never launched in the country.

At the time of writing, Samsung hasn't announced any plans to bring more mid-range devices into the fold, and we will have to wait and see if that will change in the coming weeks. As for the stable One UI 7 update, the Galaxy A55 and other mid-rangers could get it sometime in May.

In April, Samsung will probably focus on just flagship devices. The Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will start getting the stable update from April 7. In the weeks that follow, the Galaxy S23 lineup (including the FE model), the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, the Galaxy Tab S9 series, and the Galaxy Tab S10 series will join the party.

Those who own an eligible mid-range device in the US but don't want to wait until May for One UI 7 can consider upgrading to the Galaxy A26 or Galaxy A36. Both phones run the latest Android and One UI version out of the box. So does the Galaxy A56, but although it's launching stateside later this year, it doesn't have a set launch date as of March 27.
