Samsung's new TVs and smart monitors now feature Microsoft Copilot AI assistant. As part of Samsung's Vision AI suite, Copilot brings AI-powered features for a more intelligent and personalised experience to you while you are watching movies, TV shows, and other content.
You can launch the Microsoft Copilot app from the home screen, Samsung Daily+ screen, and the Click to Search screen. It is completely free to use. You can converse with the AI assistant using their voice and the remote controller. You can search for movies and TV shows that suit their preferences. If you are curious about something that's on the screen, you can get more information and facts about respective actors or athletes.

Copilot can also break down complex topics in a simple way, summarize a movie's plot, or translate a foreign language. It can plan your trips or help your family and friends decide what to watch next. The app displays a friendly character on the screen that reacts and lip-syncs as it speaks. It displays facts and information in simple visual cards.
Microsoft and Samsung have been close partners for a long time. Microsoft's Office and Keyboard apps come pre-installed on Samsung's phones, while the built-in My Files app has OneDrive integration. Samsung's smart TVs and smart monitors also come pre-installed with the Xbox Cloud Gaming app and Microsoft 365 suite in supported markets. With the launch of the Copilot app, the two companies are deepening their partnership.
Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Customer Experience Team at Samsung's Visual Display (VD) Business, said, “Through our open AI partnerships, Samsung is setting a new standard for AI-powered screens. Copilot makes it fun and easy to quickly get what you need through tailored experiences, whether you’re learning something new, enjoying entertainment, tackling everyday tasks or more.“
