Samsung has just announced that it is expanding the Android 16-based One UI 8 Beta Program to more Galaxy phones. Besides high-end Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series phones, the One UI 8 beta update will also be released to select Galaxy A series mid-range devices in select countries.
The One UI 8 beta update will be released for the Galaxy A35, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A55 in September 2025. It will be available in India, South Korea, the UK, and the USA. Samsung could release multiple beta updates before releasing the stable update before the end of the year. As mentioned earlier, One UI 8 is based on Android 16, and it brings several new and improved features to compatible phones.
The complete list of Galaxy A phones that will get the One UI 8 beta update is below.
If you have one of these phones, live in one of the countries mentioned above, and want to beta-test the beta software, you can register your phone in the One UI 8 Beta Program. To do that, you have to install the latest version of the Samsung Members app, log into the app using the same Samsung Account signed into the phone, and register your phone by tapping the One UI 8 Beta Program banner on the app's home page.
One UI 8 brings several new and improved features, including the new Quick Share design, better alarm and reminders management, improved calendar management, easier access to Auracast audio broadcasts, enhanced Secure Folder, new gestures in the Camera app, improved profile cards, new Modes and Routines actions and conditions, and an enhanced split-screen mode.
