help me iphone 4 flashing error 3194 host file change but no flash
3194 = error from server=94 (This device isn't eligible for the requested build.)
solution use cydia or local shsh, apple do not provide shsh for your requested firmware..
you can use cydia server only and only
IF YOU HAVE SHSH BACKUP BEFORE when apple was providing that ..
if your hosts file have cydia IP Address then itune will contact to cydia server for SHSH, if you remove it itune restore will contact apple server for SHSH..
IF YOU ARE JUST UPDATING TO LATEST FIRMWARE REMOVE CYDIA ENTRY FROM HOST FILE BEFORE RESTORE.....(only if you know your iPhone is factory unlocked or in must need condition.)
in your case i can see you do not have any because when we point to cydia in host file and itune restore method verify cydia inserted of apple its reply same 3194 = NO SHSH FOR THIS VERSION..
just for your case try this.
clear cydia server entry from your host file.
use latest redns0w rc12 at moment.
use latest sn0wbreze
open sn0wbreze select 4.3.1 (
or latest) stock firmware
next
select "baseband Preservation mode" click next
wait for it and at desktop you see "sn0wbreeze_iPhone xxxxx.ipsw"
now open redsn0w connect phone.
select 4.3.1 (
or latest) stock firmware
next
tick on enter pawned dfu
put phone in dfu
and next.
now finish on redsn0w
open itune and click on shift + restore
select file sn0wbreeze_iPhone xxxxx.ipsw"
let it flash.
now jailbreak as usual via redsn0w rc12(
or latest) by selecting stock firmware etc etc.
in sort make newest version no baseband firmware and restore in pwned dfu.
if that version jail break is not supported then wait till it come.
