We finally have our hands on the official One UI 8.5 beta. Samsung has just released the first beta version of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 series in select countries. It has turned out to be a huge update, but if you use certain camera modes, you should not install the current beta software on your phone.
One UI 8.5 is quite feature-rich, but the first beta version of the software is missing certain camera modes on the Galaxy S25 series. Those are Dual Recording and Single Take. As you can see in our video below, you can't find them in the More section of the stock Camera app.

Dual Recording mode lets you capture video using two different cameras on a Galaxy phone at the same time. You can pair the front camera with any of the rear cameras, or use any two rear-facing cameras simultaneously. The mode supports Full HD (1080p) at 30fps and 4K UHD (2160p) at 30fps. You can choose to save the footage from each camera as separate files, or combine them into a single file exactly as shown in the viewfinder.
Single Take captures images and videos in several formats, including collages, cropped shots, filters (pictures), highlight videos, rebound clips, and slow-motion videos, with a single tap, but have a lower resolution compared to the regular Photo and Video modes.
It's unclear why these modes were removed in the beta, but it's possible Samsung is working on something new that combines their functionality. Both modes are incredibly useful, so we're hoping they return in one form or another.
