Last month, we reported that Samsung may have dropped the Galaxy S26 Edge in favour of the Galaxy S26+. The now-cancelled device was expected to have a thickness of 5.5mm, making it significantly thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge. With a super-thin build, it would have been a head-turner. Well, we now get to see how impressive the device would have looked if it existed.

On X, a popular tipster, Steve H. McFly, has posted images of an alleged dummy unit of the Galaxy S26 Edge, highlighting the thinness of the phone. They measured the thickness of the phone with a gauge, which, of course, showed that it is just 5.5mm thick. The tipster also compared the device with Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro to show the day and night difference in their thickness.

Yes, we have seen the dummy unit of the Galaxy S26 Edge in the past, but that seemed more like a clay model. This one looks more complete, similar to the dummy units we see at stores. Colored in black, the phone does look very impressive. Unfortunately, Samsung may not launch the device.

As for the Galaxy S26 series, yesterday, we learned that Samsung has finalised the chipset strategy for all three devices in the lineup. Recently, we also got to know that they will feature faster memory, which will offer significant improvements for camera performance. We also got to see their renders.

Samsung is expected to launch the lineup in February 2026.
