Samsung was the first non-Google brand to widely roll out Gemini to phones and tablets. Gemini Live, which can see a phone's live camera feed or screen to help with things, can be even more helpful, but it didn't have as many app integrations as Gemini did. However, that is changing now, as it has started getting integration with Google's Calendar, Keep, and Tasks apps on Galaxy phones.
Google announced during the Google I/O 2025 event that Gemini Live would be more helpful, as it would be able to scan for events on the phone's screen or through its camera and create an event in Google Calendar, notes in Google Keep, and tasks in Google Tasks.
Now, the feature is rolling out widely to millions of Galaxy phones. The feature was released for select Galaxy devices at the end of June. You can see it in the screenshots below.

When Google announced the Pixel Drop update for Pixel devices in mid-July, some more Galaxy devices received Gemini Live's integration with Google's apps. Now, even more devices, including our Galaxy S23 Ultra, have received this feature. This feature was spotted by 9To5Google.

When you ask Gemini Live about your calendar entries, tasks, or any location, it can access your personal information from Google Calendar, Google Keep, Google Maps, and Google Tasks. A pill-shaped chip at the bottom of the screen displays a related app.
If you have event-related information on your phone's screen or physically around you, you can start Gemini Live and ask it to add it to your Google Calendar account. Similarly, you can use Google Keep to turn information into notes and Google Tasks to turn it into tasks. Gemini Live also allows you to check out a location on Google Maps.
