Samsung released the One UI 8 Watch (Wear OS 6) update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic in October 2025. Sadly, up until now, the brand had rolled it out only to the non-cellular (Bluetooth-only) variants of the two wearables, leaving users of cellular (4G/LTE + Bluetooth) models eagerly waiting for it. Well, not anymore.
Samsung has started offering One UI 8 Watch for the cellular variants of the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. India is among the first countries to get it (via Tarun Vats). The update is 1,758.86 MB in size and carries firmware version R895FXXU1JYL6. It also brings the January 2026 security patch, which fixes 55 security issues.
To update your Galaxy Watch 4, on your Android smartphone, open the Galaxy Wearable app and navigate to Watch settings > Watch software update and tap Download and install.
One UI 8 Watch brings many new features, which you can check out here, giving the two smartwatches a fresh breath of life. Sadly, it is the last major update for the two wearables.
