Last week, Samsung released the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update to the Galaxy Tab S9 series. However, the brand offered it only to the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, and not the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+. Well, the company is finally offering the update to the latter two in the lineup.

Samsung is currently rolling out the update to the non-cellular (Wi-Fi-only) variants of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ in Korea, which have model numbers SM-X510 and SM-X610. The firmware for the former carries version X510XXU8DYJ4, and that for the latter carries version X510XXU8DYJ4 (via Samsung Community).

To update your Galaxy Tab S9 FE, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. You can learn about all the upgrades that One UI 8 offers in our video below.

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE series is also eligible to get the One UI 8.5 update. It brings a plethora of upgrades that you can check out here. Samsung is expected to debut it with the Galaxy S26 series on 25 February 2025, and start offering it to eligible devices soon after.
