Samsung isn't expected to bring any significant camera upgrades with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Next year's top-of-the-line flagship will reportedly have largely the same camera hardware as the model before it.
However, if a new rumor is to be believed, Samsung might make two improvements that could positively influence the imaging experience on the device.
According to a post on Weibo, Samsung will apply an improved lens coating to reduce flaring. This will particularly improve the image quality in bright conditions, where bright light sources can cause lens flaring.
Lens coatings are commonly used in smartphone cameras to mitigate this issue which also tends to pop up in low-light conditions. The new coating Samsung is said to apply on the Galaxy S26 Ultra's cameras should address the matter.
It's also claimed that processing software improvements will be made to reduce the yellowing of human skin tones, a concern that's routinely flagged on Samsung phones. How much improvement ultimately ends up being delivered remains to be seen.
Reports suggest that there's a delay in the launch this time around, as Samsung typically launches the new lineup in January and has it out in the market by February. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series in late February, with the new trio likely being released at some point in March.
