Samsung's Good Lock team recently made a new announcement, wishing every Good Lock fan a Happy New Year and, more importantly, revealing some updates to Good Lock for the upcoming One UI 8.5 firmware.
One screenshot shared by the Good Lock team reached X and indirectly confirmed one of the most anticipated Galaxy S26 features: Privacy Display. Check out the official screenshot below.
The screenshot is meant to demonstrate how quick panels in One UI 8.5 offer more customization options. What really caught our eye was the Privacy Display toggle, which appears to have replaced the Modes one, at least in this instance.

Privacy Display is a clever display technology that will allow Galaxy S26 users to view the phone's display in privacy. It has a similar effect to privacy screen protectors, except this one is built into the display and can be turned ON or OFF.
The screenshot above confirms that Galaxy S26 users will be able to activate and deactivate Privacy Display through a quick toggle.
It sounds quite magical, but the technology already exists. Samsung calls it Flex Magic Pixel. So far, it's been rumored as a Galaxy S26 Ultra-exclusive feature
However, at least one other source suggested that Privacy Display might be available across the entire S26 range, which would be fantastic for everyone else who doesn't want to buy the S26 Ultra. Time will tell.
