Next year, Samsung is planning to add a completely new name to the Galaxy S series. The Galaxy S26 lineup is expected to feature three models: Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. All eyes are on the Galaxy S26 Pro to see if it deserves its Pro branding. A new leak claims to reveal information about its display and battery.
The Galaxy S26 Pro, which is expected to succeed the base Galaxy S25 next year, reportedly has a 6.27-inch display. That is slightly bigger than the 6.2-inch display on the Galaxy S25. It means the phone will likely have thinner bezels around the screen. The upcoming phone is also said to feature a 4,300mAh battery, a 300mAh increase over the Galaxy S25's 4,000mAh battery.
This information was revealed by Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. They have been pretty reliable so far in the past, so the information about the Galaxy S26 Pro is likely accurate. This is the second time the Galaxy S26 Pro's battery capacity has leaked.
Previous reports claim that the Galaxy S26 Pro and other models in the Galaxy S26 lineup will feature an additional NFC antenna at the top of the device for a better mobile payments experience. It would be similar to iPhones, which offer an easier experience while making payments or sharing files and other things via AirDrop.
Since the Galaxy S26 Pro is said to be succeeding the Galaxy S25, we can expect it to feature a triple-camera setup on the rear. It could continue to feature the 50MP camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a telephoto camera. It isn't clear if there would be any improvement to the telephoto camera.
The phone will either use a 2nm Exynos 2600 chip or a 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 For Galaxy processor. It could have 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB internal storage. Some reports claimed that Samsung is considering adding Qi2 wireless charging with built-in magnets in Galaxy S26 series phones.
