Last month, the first leak about the battery capacity of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Edge hit the internet, which claimed that it will have a 4,500mAh battery. A few days later, our friends at Galaxy Club claimed the phone will have a 4,200mAh battery. To add to the confusion, earlier this month, a popular tipster, @UniverseIce claimed that the device will have a 4,400mAh battery. Well, the confusion has finally been cleared.
On X, @UniverseIce claims that the Galaxy S26 Edge will have a 4,200mAh battery, contradictory to what he said earlier. It means that the information from Galaxy Club was correct. While that could be disappointing for people who were looking forward to a 4,500mAh unit, a 4,200mAh battery is a significant upgrade over the 3,900mAh unit in the Galaxy S25 Edge, especially when you consider that the phone will be 5.5mm thin.
That’s right. We finally have a number on the Galaxy S26 Edge’s thickness (or thinness). According to the tipster, it will be 5.5mm thin, making it 0.3mm thinner than the one of the thinnest smartphones on the market, the Galaxy S25 Edge. If that turns out to be true, it will be a big achievement for Samsung, offering a bigger battery while cutting down the thickness.
According to other leaks and rumours, the Galaxy S26 series may feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chipset in some regions and the Exynos 2600 in others and 45W charging speed. Considering that Samsung may launch the lineup in January/February 2026, we are only five months away from the launch. Hopefully, more leaks will arrive in the coming weeks.
