It is being reported that one Galaxy S25+ unit caught fire yesterday. The phone's user, based out of South Korea, and posted the image of the phone in Samsung's Community Forum website.
Apparently, the phone was not charging when it caught fire. The user was reportedly holding the Galaxy S25+, and it started to overheat. It then made a loud noise, after which the user threw the phone on the floor, and it slowly caught fire. The phone was handed over to Samsung's service centre, who said the cause of the fire is not known yet.
We have reached out to Samsung about this and we haven't heard back from the brand just yet. We will update the story when we receive additional information about it.
This is a developing story…
