After teasing it earlier this year, Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy S25 Edge. It is Samsung's thinnest smartphone ever, measuring just 5.8mm (not counting foldable phones, which can be thinner when unfolded). That makes it 1mm thinner than the Galaxy A8 that was launched in 2015.
Despite being thin, it is a well-specced high-end phone, featuring Qualcomm's fastest Snapdragon chip, a 200MP rear camera, and a flagship-grade OLED screen. Let us check out the phone in detail.

At 5.8mm, the Galaxy S25 Edge is slimmer than the base Galaxy S25 (7.2mm) and is almost as light (163g) despite having a screen as big as the Galaxy S25+. It has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QHD+ resolution, a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, and Vision Booster. It has stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos audio.
Its screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, which claims to offer both vibrancy and strength. Similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the phone's frame is made using titanium. It also features an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. So, despite being thin, it is quite sturdy and should handle everyday usage without any issue.

To fit such a thin body of this phone, Samsung had to reengineer its 200MP camera (used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra) to be 18% thinner than earlier. The 200MP primary camera with OIS is supplemented by a 12MP ultrawide camera featuring autofocus for macro capabilities. On the front, the Galaxy S25 Edge has a 12MP selfie camera. The primary camera offers 2x optical quality zoom.
All three cameras are capable of recording 4K 60fps videos, while the primary camera can record up to 8K 30fps videos. All cameras can also capture 10-bit Super HDR images and videos.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S25 Edge with the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chip as the other Galaxy S25 series phones. It has 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage. It runs One UI 7.0 (Android 15) out of the box and will get up to seven years of Android OS updates and security patches.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is powered by a 3,900mAh battery, which Samsung claims can last one whole day on regular usage. It supports 15W wireless charging and 25W fast wired charging.
The phone supports 5G, GNSS, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It supports wired and wireless DeX and has Samsung Pay/Wallet.
Of course, the Galaxy S25 Edge comes with Galaxy AI features, including Audio Eraser, Drawing Assist, Gemini (with Gemini Live), Now Bar, Now Brief, and Writing Assist. It is protected by Samsung Knox Vault and has an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy S25 Edge in three colors: Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Silver.
It starts at €1,249 in Europe and $1,099 in the USA. To know its detailed pricing and availability, click here.
