In May, Samsung opened the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S25 series. The brand made it available for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, but not for the Galaxy S25 Edge, most likely because the phone had just been launched and was yet to go on sale, and also because the company usually doesn’t include non-core models in a beta program (such as Fan Edition variants).

Earlier today, Samsung released the stable version of One UI 8 to the Galaxy S25 series. Considering that the brand usually offers the stable version of a new software to those devices first that were in the beta program, we were expecting to see One UI 8 rollout today only for the regular, Plus, and Ultra models. Surprisingly, the tech giant has released the One UI 8 stable update to the Galaxy S25 Edge as well. Let’s take a look.

Samsung has released the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 Edge in Korea. It is 3,441.50MB in size and carries firmware version S937NKSU2BYI3 (via Tarun Vats), as you can see in the screenshots below.

After releasing a major One UI update in Korea, Samsung starts rolling it out in other parts of the world a few days later. If you live outside Korea, expect to get One UI 8 on your Galaxy S25 Edge in the next few days.

To check if Samsung has made the update available in your region, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
