The Galaxy S25 Edge has enjoyed the limelight as being one of the thinnest flagship-level phones on the market, but it could soon face some serious competition from Apple.

It's been known for a while now that the Cupertino company has a slim phone up its sleeve as well, and if recent reports are to be believed, it may be arriving in just about two weeks time.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is one of the slimmest slab phones that Samsung has made. It measures just 5.8mm thin while providing top-notch specs, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 12GB of RAM and a decent camera setup.

Apple's competitor is believed to be launched as the iPhone 17 Air. Rumors suggest that it will be slimmer than the Galaxy S25 Edge, potentially coming in at just 5.5mm thin. While details of the other specs are unknown, it would be interesting to see if it matches or even beats the Galaxy S25 Edge in other aspects.

While Apple is yet to confirm when it's going to launch its new product lineup, multiple reports highlight that the company will hold an event on September 9 to unveil the new iPhone 17 lineup which includes the slim model as well.

Apple may have had to make more compromises to achieve this slim frame. It's believed that the device will only have one rear camera and could may not even have a speaker at the bottom, leaving the top earpiece as the only audio source.

If that is indeed the case, the Galaxy S25 Edge would objectively have a lot more going for it, but whether that alone is enough to make people choose it over a super slim iPhone is anybody's guess.
