After a relatively quiet couple of weeks on the security update front, Samsung is rolling out new patches for multiple flagship Galaxy smartphones, including the Galaxy S24 lineup.

As usual, the update has gone live first in South Korea and should expand to more regions in the coming days. It comes with firmware version ending in CYK2 and weighs around 300 MB, which is pretty small.

That's not surprising, though, as the update doesn't include anything but security fixes. The November 2025 security patch fixes around three dozen vulnerabilities affecting both Android and Samsung’s proprietary software. A few of those security flaws impact devices powered by select Exynos chips, including the Exynos 2400 that drives the Galaxy S24 and S24+ in most markets.

Naturally, this update is built on top of One UI 8 (Android 16), the second major OS upgrade for the Galaxy S24 lineup. Samsung isn’t slowing down, though. In the first half of next year, the 2024 flagship series will receive the One UI 8.5 update, which is already in development for multiple Galaxy devices.

To download the latest update on your Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, or S24 FE, navigate to the Settings > Software update menu on the phone and tap Download and install.
