The latest software update for the Galaxy S23 series is beginning to roll out more widely this week. Samsung’s 2023 flagship lineup is now receiving the January 2026 update in Europe starting today, following a limited release in Korea a few days ago.
Carrying the firmware version EZA1 for the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra and FZA1 for the S23 FE, the update applies the latest security fixes Samsung detailed at the start of the month. Predictably, there’s nothing else of note included, with the changelog once again pointing to the usual vague device stability improvements and bug fixes.
The January 2026 patch packs fixes for a total of 55 security vulnerabilities. Among those, 21 come from Google and 30 come from Samsung. Samsung has marked one vulnerability as critical, 28 as high-risk, and three as moderate-risk. Samsung Semiconductor provided fixes for four security flaws discovered in select Exynos chips.
If you own a Galaxy S23-series phone, you can check for the update from the phone's Settings > Software update menu.
