The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, the oldest generation of Galaxy flagships eligible for One UI 8 (Android 16), have started getting the update today. This is the fourth and final major OS update for the Galaxy S22 lineup and will be followed by One UI 8.5 sometime next year.

The update is live in Europe. It is 3,177.80MB in size and carries firmware version S90xBXXUIGYI7 (via Tarun Vats). You can check it out in the screenshot below. To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. We expect Samsung to release it in other regions in the next few days.

One UI 8 offers a few new UI elements, which make the software look cleaner, more organised, and modern, as well as make it more convenient to use. It also brings many new features, including new actions and conditions in Modes and Routines, display rotation and other new options in DeX, Secure Folder with extra security, and revamped Alarm, Calendar, My Files, Quick Share, Reminder, and Samsung Internet. You can check out the complete list of changes here.
