Earlier this month, Samsung detailed the January 2026 security patch for Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The brand offered it first to its latest non-foldable flagship phones, the Galaxy S25 series, and then to the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S23 lineups. Now, the company has released the latest security update for its non-foldable flagship phones from 2022, the Galaxy S22 series.

The update for the Galaxy S22 series carrying the January 2026 security patch is currently live in South Korea. It is 398.65MB in size and has firmware version S90xNKSU7GYI7 (via Tarun Vats). It fixes 55 security vulnerabilities. Samsung should start releasing it in other regions soon. To check for an get the update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
