The Galaxy Book 4 Edge was Samsung's first Copilot+ PC. After its launch last year, the company launched the Galaxy Book 5 series, and all the models in the new lineup are certified for the Copilot+ PC badge. All these laptops are now getting a bunch of new AI features via a Windows 11 update from Microsoft.

Microsoft is releasing several new AI features to Copilot+ PC-certified devices via a new Windows 11 update. Copilot Vision can scan everything on your laptop's screen via the Copilot app. It uses AI to analyse content on the screen. You can ask it questions about all the apps and web pages on your screen.

You can also ask it how to complete any task on your Windows 11 laptop. You can ask your Galaxy Book 4 Edge or a Galaxy Book 5 series device how to improve lighting in a photo.

This software update also brings improvements to the ‘Click to Do' feature, which is currently in preview mode. It helps you complete actions based on the text you've selected. For example, you can select text on your laptop's screen and hold down the Windows key and left-click to summarise it. It can do other things listed below.

    • Schedule a meeting via Microsoft Teams.
    • Helping you practice reading fluency and pronunciation with the Reading Coach tool.
    • Draft a document in Microsoft Word using Copilot.
    • Immersive Reader can display selected text in a distraction-free view. It offers audio playback, background, grammar assistance, and font customization options.

Other features include an AI-powered sticker generator and an object selection tool in the Paint app. These features were in testing last year, but are now being rolled out to more devices. The rollout will happen over the next month.

On the Galaxy Book 4 Edge, which is Samsung's only Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PC, you get access to an AI-powered agent in the Settings app. It allows you to search for specific settings through natural language. For example, you can search for “how to connect to a Bluetooth device” or “I want to see larger text” in the Settings app's search bar, and the laptop will take you to a relevant page in the app.

Snapdragon-powered Galaxy Books also get the AI lighting option in the Photos app and an option to capture a perfect screenshot via the Snipping Tool.

Other non-Copilot+ PC Galaxy Books will get some features as well. Those include a handy color picker within the Snipping Tool and a tool that can automatically fix issues causing unexpected reboots. Some of these features are already available via the Microsoft Store and preview updates from the Settings app.
