Yesterday, Samsung released the first software update for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, the brand had offered it only in its home country, South Korea. Now, the company has started rolling it out in more countries, and India is among the first to get it.

The update is 563.69MB in size and carries firmware version S94xBXXS1AZC7. To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The February 2026 security patch fixes a total of 37 security issues, making Samsung’s new non-foldable flagship phones more secure.

A few Galaxy S26 users have reported that the update also brings the Inactivity Restart feature, which, if you don’t use the phone for 72 hours, restarts it. By doing so, the phone will not show notifications unless you unlock it, and to unlock it, you need to enter the PIN, all of which improves the security.

Speaking of the Galaxy S26, we recently learned that all the variants in the lineup feature UFS 4.0 storage instead of UFS 4.1 as claimed earlier. If you own one, you may also want to know what to know how to bring back the dedicated Night mode in the camera and what the phone’s upgraded Photo Assist can do.
