Samsung unveiled its first tri-folding phone last month at the APEC 2025 summit in South Korea. Today, the company has officially announced its name, design, and all its features and specifications. It has also revealed where you can buy the Galaxy Z TriFold.
The Galaxy Z TriFold will be available for purchase in South Korea starting December 12, 2025. Then, sometime later this month, Samsung will launch its first tri-folding phone in four more countries: China, Singapore, Taiwan, and the UAE.
In the first quarter of 2026, the foldable will come to the USA. The device will be available in select retail stores in those countries. Prices start at KRW 3,590,400 in Korea, which is roughly $2,500, but local pricing in other markets will be revealed later.
The Galaxy Z TriFold has a 6.5-inch OLED cover screen and a 10-inch foldable OLED display. It has three rear-facing cameras. Its primary rear camera is a 200MP sensor with OIS, while its 12MP ultrawide camera features autofocus. It also has a dedicated 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS.
The first tri-folding phone from Samsung uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 16GB RAM, and 512GB/1TB of internal storage. It runs Android 16 and One UI 8.0. It will get seven major Android OS updates in the future. It is powered by the biggest battery ever in a Samsung foldable phone and has Samsung's fastest charging technology.
