There is a high probability that you are reading these lines on your Galaxy S24 Ultra. The phone sold in the millions after all, and it still performs adequately in 2025. But more importantly, you are now holding a device no future Galaxy will likely replicate. You are using the last phone with S Pen Air Actions.

It's nothing new. The fact that the Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen dropped Bluetooth connectivity and Air Actions was all over the news at the beginning of 2025. But it is a feature you should celebrate while you still can and care about it.

Your Galaxy S24 Ultra will be two years old in a few months, and chances are slim-to-none that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will bring back Air Actions. For all we know, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the last of its kind.

You may soon start thinking of a phone upgrade, which means that, whether you like it or not, you will have to say goodbye to Air Actions eventually. No future S Ultra will make you feel like you're holding a magic wand.

But having said that, we're very curious to know how many Galaxy S24 Ultra users have employed Air Actions since the Galaxy S25 Ultra went on sale without the feature. How many forgot about it, and how many used it more often than usual to get the most mileage out of a dying feature?

We'll probably never get any official statistics or answers to those questions, but in the end, it matters not. You can take this moment to celebrate the Galaxy S24 Ultra for marking the end of the line for this S Pen feature.

If you need a reminder, here's what you can do with Air Actions, courtesy of a Bluetooth-enable S Pen that sports an accelerometer inside:

    • Control video playback and YouTube using S Pen gestures remotely.
    • Use the S Pen as a remote clicker button for the Galaxy S24 Ultra camera app.
    • Control PowerPoint presentations with the S Pen as a remote.

And if you already forgot about Air Actions or haven't used any of these features throughout 2025, then you should probably be thankful. This means you likely won't miss Air Actions once you decide to upgrade the Galaxy S24 Ultra to a newer model.

Now that the Galaxy S25 Ultra has been out for more than half a year, it seems like as good a time as any to look back at the past few months and figure out how important Air Actions really are or were for you.

Analyzing your own usage patterns over these past few months will help you either appreciate and celebrate your Galaxy S24 Ultra even more while you still can, or it may bring you peace of mind that Air Actions aren't that big of a deal for you after all and that upgrading to a future sequel won't be that difficult.

Which side of the fence do you find yourself on as we approach the launch of the Galaxy S26? Do you still think Samsung was wrong to remove Air Actions? Or are you starting to agree with the company's thought process more now that a few months have passed?
