Samsung just launched its new lineup of flagship non-foldable smartphones, the Galaxy S26 series. It offers three devices: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

If you have come across the lineup’s advertisements or videos, you may have seen that they mention Corning Gorilla Armor 2 protection for the display.

Apart from being tough, preventing the screen from cracking during drops, it cuts reflections, improving the visibility of content against sources of light.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra, being the top-of-the-line model, gets all the bells and whistles, but has Samsung extended Gorilla Armor 2 to the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26+?

The answer is no. The Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26+ don’t get Gorilla Armor 2. Samsung has kept it limited to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Instead, the regular and the Plus models feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It has a toughness similar to that of Gorilla Armor 2 but lacks its anti-reflective coating.

Despite the lack of Gorilla Armor 2, you can watch content on the screens of the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26+ against sources of light very comfortably, as they are very bright. However, if you want to get rid of reflections, you will have to look at the Galaxy S26 Ultra instead of the regular and Plus models.
