Samsung is expected to launch its next lineup of non-foldable flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S26 series, in February 2026. So far, there have been plenty of leaks about the three devices in the lineup: the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Many of these leaks claim that the phones will feature the Exynos 2600 chipset in most regions, while some markets will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor instead. imeisource has now found evidence confirming that the smallest and most affordable device in the series, the Galaxy S26 Pro, does indeed use the Exynos 2600.
This will likely be the case for most regions worldwide. However, in the US and China, the phone may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which was announced last month. The Galaxy S26+, which Samsung reportedly began developing recently in a last-minute change of plans, will likely follow the same chip distribution as the S26 Pro.
According to previous leaks, the Exynos 2600 will be made on Samsung Foundry’s 2nm fabrication process. It will have a ten-core CPU configuration, featuring ARM C1-series CPU cores. For graphics, it will feature the Xclipse 950 GPU, which uses AMD’s RDNA architecture.
With that, it performs faster than the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Apple’s A19 Pro in the iPhone 17 series. However, it remains to be seen whether it is as potent as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and the MediaTek Dimensity 9500. Reportedly, Samsung started mass-producing Exynos 2600 in September.
