Samsung today officially confirmed the Galaxy S25 Edge launch for May 13. We had exclusively reported a month back that Samsung would unveil its new slim phone on this day, and the company has now followed through with the official date.
It's not going to be an Unpacked event, there's no need for it since Samsung has already shown off this device on multiple occasions. Samsung will simply conduct the ceremonial launch of this device on YouTube.
The Galaxy S25 Edge will be formally launched on Samsung's YouTube channel at 9am KST on May 13, 2025. It's one of the slimmest phones that Samsung has ever made. The company says that this device represents a major breakthrough in precision engineering to deliver a high-end user experience that's worthy of the Galaxy S name.
Samsung will provide precise details about the Galaxy S25 Edge specifications and dimensions on the YouTube stream, but we don't have to wait for that. Everything about the Galaxy S25 Edge has already been leaked.
With a familiar premium metal build, the Galaxy S25 Edge boasts an impressively slim 5.85mm profile, weighs 163g, and has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset as the rest of the Galaxy S25 series, paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage.
The rear camera setup includes a 200-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. There's no dedicated zoom camera on this device. A 3,900mAh battery is included. The device will come with One UI 7 out of the box and likely support seven years of Android OS updates.
Samsung will confirm price and availability details on May 13. Previous reports have suggested that the device will be released by the end of this month in the United States and other markets. Prices are said to start at 1,249 euro.
