We are about four months away from the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8. Earlier today, its specifications were leaked. Now, its design and dimensions have leaked. CAD-based renders of the device have surfaced, suggesting that Samsung will stick with a design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

It not be any major improvements in terms of thinness, but there are other upgrades.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 is almost as thin as the Galaxy Z Fold 7

Android Headlines, in collaboration with OnLeaks, has published CAD-based renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 8. According to the report, the device measures 158.4 x 143.2 x 4.5mm when unfolded and 158.4 x 72.8 x 9mm when folded. These dimensions are approximate, so the final product could end up being as thin as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (8.9mm).

The phone is expected to feature a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8-inch foldable OLED display. It likely uses Samsung Display's newer-generation foldable OLED panel with an almost crease-less design, thanks to its dual-UTG structure and a more modern hinge.

Recent reports suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 could include a 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. There is no information about its front-facing cameras.

The device will likely be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, up to 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 4.x storage. The foldable phone could be the first to run Android 17-based One UI 9.0 software. It is powered by a larger 5,000mAh battery and supports up to 45W fast wired charging.

The South Korean firm is working on another book-style foldable phone, and it is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 in the second half of this year. It is shorter and wider, resulting in a wider foldable screen compared to existing Galaxy Z Fold series devices. That will make it more suitable for watching videos.
