Samsung’s current bar-style flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, features a maximum charging speed of up to 45W. This is the same as the four previous-generation Galaxy S Ultra phones. Fortunately, that’s not going to be the case with the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The South Korean tech giant is expected to equip the Galaxy S26 Ultra with 60W fast charging. That’s a 33% increase in the charging wattage. Unfortunately, the increased wattage won't be directly proportional to the actual charging time. It was claimed that it will reduce the charging time by less than 5%. Well, another reliable tipster has now backed the disappointing story.

Tipster @ya_sking12767 claims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 60W charging speed will be called Super Fast Charging 3.0 and it will be able to fill the battery from 0% to 75% in 30 minutes.

In comparison, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 45W fast charging (Super Fast Charging 2.0) can fill its 5,000mAh battery from 0% to 72% in 30 minutes (via GSMArena). That's a mere 4.16% increase in actual charging speed compared to 33% more wattage. However, we should still wait for official numbers from Samsung, which could be announced next month.
