Samsung’s latest version of One UI for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, One UI 8.5, which is currently in the beta stage, brings a ton of visual changes and new features, giving your device a fresh breath of life. However, it also lacks two features present in One UI 8.0, Single Take and Dual Rec camera modes.
Earlier today, Samsung confirmed that it will bring back those features with a new version of Camera Assistant. Well, there’s more to the story. The brand says that the second beta version of One UI 8.5 will also offer “custom options for professional shooting,” but what does it mean? Well, we may have a clue.
Back in October, a report claimed that with One UI 8.5, when you use the stock Camera app’s Pro mode and customise image settings, you will be able to save those customisations as a preset, letting you easily load those settings the next time you want to use them. It also said that you will be able to share those presets with other Galaxy users using Quick Share.
Unfortunately, we haven’t received these features yet. However, in Samsung’s announcement from today about Single Take and Dual Rec, when it says “Custom options for professional shooting will be provided through Beta 2,” we think that the brand is talking about the ability to save Pro mode settings as a preset and share them with other Galaxy users using Quick Share.
Since Samsung moderator's wording isn’t clear, we can’t say anything for sure yet. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait too long to know for sure, as the release of the second beta version of One UI 8.5 seems to be very close.
